As you can see from the photo above, my mom and I have worked together to establish rules for my new computer.
I think I'm ready to take my laptop home because I feel that since I have been taking good care of my iPad, I could do the same with my new computer.
The routine that I will use for taking my laptop home will be this: I will carry my laptop to the buses separately, so I don't crack the screen in my backpack. When I'm on the bus, I will leave my laptop on my lap, so when I get up at my stop, I will notice my laptop. When I get to my house, I will use it for homework. When I'm done using it, I will leave it on the desk near my room. At 7:00, I will plug it into the outlet in my living room, so it's ready for the next day.
I really like how in sixth grade, the teachers and staff of SAS entrust us with more responsibility. I think that taking care of my computer will have its ups and downs, but overall, I think it will make sixth grade fun!
