A few days ago during Tech class, Mrs Lynch introduced something new to me called coding. At first I had no idea what coding was but we soon learned coding was computer programming. Have you ever played angry birds on your ipad or iphone? Have you ever wondered how only a flick of your finger makes the bird fly? Well thats what coding does. To code, you have to send a message to the computer to tell it what to do. When coding, the messages you send to the computer are not in english. They are in some kind of computer language. But to make it easier for us, we sent the code in english. The game was simple. Level one was to get the angry bird to the pig in a maze using code. We sent things like move forward, turn left, turn right, and so on. The mazes got trickier as the game progressed. Level two was the same but instead of an angry bird, you were a zombie from Plants vs Zombies trying to get a plant. Overall coding was a fun experience and I hope to do more of it.
