Inducing Magnetism

In science I learned that an iron/steel object can be turned into a temporary magnet by sticking it to a permanent magnet that induced some of the magnetism into it. We carried out an investigation to discover this. First we got one magnet and two iron/steel objects, then we hookd one of the objects onto the magnet. The magnet induces the magnetism and allows the object to become a temporary magnet.

Above my classmate, Ari is doing this experiment.
